God sent Enoch to Watchers to pass along his message:

Meaning Watchers did intend to hijack human procreation to create semi-divine spirits, hoping those would in the end, some way or the other, be accepted into heaven to live there along their fathers. Didn't work out. As such, "spirits that cannot enter Kingdom of Heaven are bound to roam the Earth, starving but unable to satiate themselves" that is interpreting Bible loosely.

Then God sent the flood an after, he sent Jews to finish off Nephelim/Raphaim/Didanu, Palestini and other bloodlines of Watchers in Levant.

As to the Watchers themselves, God told angels to hold Watchers down while Titans/Didanu, their giant progeny, kill each other at the end of "Golden Era" in an instigated war, which was happening for hundreds of years before the flood and is recorded in Hindu epochs.

Then, after Watchers had to watch their sons kill each other, Watchers were "thrown into Abyss" and chained for "thousands of years". Watchers have glorious angelic body of their own, they have no need to posses humans. It would be a huge downgrade. They might fuck human women though because they have none of their own and want to create more soldiers to fight against army of God.

Yes and they're in Tartarus, their half-breed progeny Zeus/Baal (storm god) "usurping" them. While in reality after they were imprisoned, what followed is a chain of their demi-god Kings ruling over human nations, until they were wiped out by war and then by the Flood.
