His special squire job gains buff skills that get him exp and increase bravery, so he can easily go through the job tree and unlock useful skills along the way. e.g. move+2, concentrate, martial arts. Then as a ninja he double-punches stuff to death, and with his high bravery he doesn't even need the attack boost from martial arts, so concentrate (archer skill) is best. Ideally you can also pick up blade grasp from samurai and become nearly invincible.

similar to previous but consider going into mediator so you can lower ramza's faith (so he takes less damage from magic). Don't bother increasing faith on your magic users, not worth the effort

I'm not even sure if it's worth going through the job tree to get another ninja but that's what I did. Used ninja swords so there's no need to increase bravery.

learn sword skills, go to geomancer for attack boost, then go back

note that the english ps1 version which has lower requirements for jobs than other versions
and remember this game is ~10 hours long if you avoid random battles so don't waste time making the perfect team
