Not only can you kick her out of the party, the laws of the Imperium and good sense near oblige you to do so. Unsanctioned psykers are a threat to everyone around them. Have Heinrix ship her off to some Inquisition black site, it is the right thing to do.
The other brown companion in the game gives you an excuse to execute her too.
And if there's a gay romance option in the game I can only assume it's the Dark Eldar which seems appropriate. Don't know for sure because he dead.

You definitely don't need a full party, in fact playing with a smaller party be a more satisfying way of keeping the difficulty up rather than just moving all the sliders to max once your characters have a few levels under their belt.
On the other hand, even without Idira, Jae and the two xenos you'll still have more than enough characters for a full party if you want one.

Yes. It gives you certain abilities as you rank up as well as opening various dialogue options.
I believe it also plays a significant role in the ending slides but I haven't got there yet.
