Not with any RPG. I did stop playing Fallout 1, but I was genuinely filtered by it, so me calling the game bad would be cope. However I did have experiences like in that comic with the following:

Boomers hype this shit up as the ultimate stealth game, but it's way too easy and just not very interesting. I had fun for the first hour or so, but later it got boring. Light and sound-based detection also allow you to sneak by guards too easily. The level design is great though.
>Half Life 2
Glorified tech demo. Way too linear, but I understand why people were amazed by it when it releaed. The physics simulation still holds up.
>STALKER: SoC
Boring exploration, copy-pasted side quests, and the game is made too easy by powerful artefacts, armor, and weapons. The atmosphere and gunplay carried it hard.

I went in expecting Bioshock but not dumbed-down instead of an immersive sim like Deus Ex, so I had a great time with it. 2017's Prey blows it out of the water, though.
