No, he's actually usable now unlike in X7, and also fun to play.

It's good, and it can be challenging. I take it the final Sigma Palace filtered you with it's million spikes, that section is hard if you hesitate or second guess yourself on your jumps.

Universally agreed. The fight with Sigma's first phase is the only fun thing in the game, and it's piss easy.

Nah, people enjoy it for what it is, it's decent and more effort was put into it than X5 and X6 combined.

I will bring up a big flaw with it though...
Getting 100% completion is fucking awful. You're expected to go through normal to hard on newgame+ to get the true final boss and true ending (no one would know it was on hard), sure that's a way to get more money, but it's still not enough for all of the upgrades, and grinding is tedious. I'm not ashamed to admit that on replays on X8 (without new game+)I use the money glitch, so I don't have to waste hours and hours of time grinding.
