Jeez mate, you don't play Tekken and it shows. Each one is unique. Taking T3 as a baseline, for example:
>big damage values, very quick matches, some moves are cheeze, characters are more unique in terms of reversals, a lot of things is still experimental which gives the game unique charm
Tekken Tag:
>Rebalanced all around, a lot of T3 cheeze is fixed, reversals are now universal, obvious tag system but also netsu system based on charactets relationship, tag throws, unique tag properties like Kazuya/Devil team, unique tag moves. The most competitive Tekken for many years but introduced weight classes and healthbar classes which is unique for this game and very controversal among Tekken vets.
T4:
>Doesn't even play like Tekken, broken wall cheeze, uneven ground
T5:
>Going back to T3 formula, lacks Tag unique gameplay features, lacks T3 charm, good for casual but very inbalanced for competitive play.
T5DR:
>Basically T5 perfected, very good for competitive, still lacks unique stuff from Tag though. Objectively the best Tekken unless you're a diehard Tag fan
T6:
>Nobody played it, T5DR was still considered a superior choice. Can't comment
Tag2:
Brought back Tag mechanics but also introduced new ones. Very high skill floor and ceiling, scared away both casuals and Tekken vets, almost killed the series, people were still playing T5DR instead
T7:

T8:

So basically for good old Tekken gameplay you have T5DR and Tag1. If you don't mind a bit of cheeze then T3 is great too. Nobody cares about T6 and Tag2. The only people who care about T7 are those who started with it and don't mind the long ass meme combos. T7 zoomers moved on to T8 anyway but that one is prolly going to kill the series because of the latest update
