Let's be honest, not only does no one believe that, not even you believe that. You are just pretending because you are embarrassed that you typed 1CC into YouTube and wrote down the first time you saw without checking to see that it was a single playthrough and now have to pretend that arcade game play time is actually as long as its second loop because you are too stubborn to admit you are wrong.
The first poster was mostly right, R-Type 2 is ballpark 15-20ish minute game and the second loop is just a different difficulty setting unlocked by beating the base game.
