Star Cruiser. I saw some posts about it and had never heard of it before so I was looking into it last night and then by luck I found it at the shop today. It's kind of an FPS / RPG hybrid that predates Wolfenstein by like 4 years. This is a port though, it was originally on PC88 (and I think also X68000).

I don't either, but they've gone up. Not for everything, but for a lot of stuff. It's not like I'm priced out, but I often find that I'm paying more for individual games than what I used to. Some of that is me being interested in obscure games, but also I often stumble upon games I picked up long ago that cost so much more now.
And some specific items have jumped up a lot, like Pokemon games or Game Boy camera's.
Also the really rare stuff has gone up a ton. Gimmick, Magical Pop'n, and Insmouse no Yakata now cost more than double what I paid. Pulseman has gone up by at least 40k yen for a cib copy, and Sparkster on Mega Drive has increased by nearly the same amount. Vampire Killer has doubled in price. Lickle (Little Samson) is almost double. Pocky and Rocky 2 has gone up by like a third. But I'm not really surprised about those because they're rare, I don't include them when I say that games are going up.

Ebay sellers always jack up the price because they know they can. Mercari and YA sellers are selling directly to Japanese people, you're cutting out the middleman when you buy from them which is why it's better than ebay. But it's still higher than it was before, and that's the point I'm making.

And again, the same thing happened in the West. I'm just saying I miss the days when everything was like $5 or $10. Not that I'm priced out, but just because it was fun to find cool shit for dirt cheap all the time. I'm perfectly fine paying 3000 yen for a cool game, but I didn't have to before
