I liked it quite a lot on my last playthrough, actually. The flood are a relatively new enemy at that point, and the level increases their threat and capabilities throughout. You have to use different weapons and strategies compared to what you've been using against the Covenant on earlier levels. It does a good job establishing Guilty Spark as a character, especially with him being so detached and talking to himself near the slowly-opening doors while the player is being swarmed.
The only serious downside to the level is that the design and aesthetics are extremely one-note, but the gameplay isn't significantly reduced by that.
