NTA, but sensible nitpicking is an oxymoron. There is no sensibility in nitpicking. It's a fool's errand. If you can't see that, then that is probably why you're having trouble discussing these things with others. To spell it out for you....

There are plenty of legitimate criticisms of OoT, yet you are hitting on none of them and when others rightly point out the flaws in your argument you resort to distasteful practices like arguing and moving the goal posts. In the even that you do actually find some legitimate criticism of the game nobody will take you seriously and whatever point you had will be written off simply because it's guilty by association with a fool.
