The other classes are all hybrid classes

but all those thief-hybrids seem pointless since you only need at most a single character with thief skills. I would also say there is no point in a pure Fighter. Damage and accuracy only depend on the weapon and the attributes but not the class and the best melee (exotic) weapons and armor can be equipped by all classes. The best ranged weapons on the other hand can be equipped by Paladins, Larks and Fighter. So I would recommend
>Thief (Elf)
>Paladin (Dwarf)
>Cleric (Dwarf)
>Wizard (Elf)

Some people recommend
>2x Cleric (Dwarf)
>2x Wizard (Elf)
which is stronger in the endgame but makes grinding at the start more painful.
