Well look at modern WoW or FFXIV

>Go to Raid
>Talk to no one
>If some one is running a non-meta class or build they get insta kicked
>Repeat and rinse

Then compare it to old MMORPGs

In my time Jedi Academy had MMORPG features but it was still capped to mostly 32 players on server while Star Wars Galaxies was a full pledged MMORPG of it's own time. I would even call Star Wars Battlefront a ''Massive-Multiplayer-FPS'' game, but if i remember right it was also just capped to 32 players + bots.

But i can see why zoomers do it. Call of Duty has 2,5 million daily players you wait in HUB for match and go do matches. Same is for MOBAs or any else online games these days. Modern day zoomers didn't play the same MMORPGs as we did.

But i do agree with OP that MH is already a hybrid MMO but it's just capped to 4 people, but with 100 character lobbies it might as well be as, MMORPG as Orgimar AFK HUB MMORPGs.
