Why should they? This game sucks ass.

The plot is below shonen anime tier. Horrible passing as for most of the game you're only doing shitty sidequests until the end in which you get a shitty lore dump and a few twists . Too bad all the lore just feels cosmetic and ultimately irrelevant for the plot. Fucking dragon ball spin off games have more interesting plot.
And don't even get me started on the garbage gameplay. That's shit even for jRPG standards. Bloated slop that has a fuck ton of options but all you do is spamming "arts". No strategy. No player skill. Nothing.
The worst part is that X is supposed to be the more serious and gameplay focused game of the series. If X was this bad, I don't even want to think about the rest.
