Nobody here will actually succeed in parenting and more likely raise children that hate them or don't think about them at all.
What you actually do is just be active in their lives.

Hire a babysitter and make sure they know how you're raising your kid. Better yet, get your own parents to come by and help out, they'll be retired.

Switch your membership to the YMCA. It sounds like a meme but the YMCA has a ton of great programs for kids including daycares, game rooms, and when I was there about 20 years ago we had leadership programs and a triathlon program (training and then an actual competition).

Honestly, getting your kid a tablet is fine, you just have to actually be active in the management of it. You can set up your internet to block certain sites, you don't give them data, and you just turn off the internet entirely past a certain time. But wait until they're at least 9 or something for that.
Beyond that, the key thing that most people here won't do is actually read books to their children, despite books being the greatest form of media for instilling imagination into a child. Read your kid The Hobbit, The Oz Series, Narnia, hell, even Percy Jackson or Lemony Snicket, these things all resonate and develop a child's imagination far more than video games.
