Facts. Classic viewing for Millennials, since Conan was the cool alt weird late night guy. From 1998 to 2008, Conan could not be beat. Then his last year of Late Night was a victory lap, he was doing OK on the Tonight Show but his defeat from that messed him up. He did 15 great years of TV in a row then tripped up after 3 months on the Big Show. TBS Conan felt very corporate, where the show turned from being a creative endeavor to a machine, so as not to screw over his entire crew that moved from New York to LA to work for him. The last year or two of Conan is relatively terrible. This new show looks dreadful. Like, why even do this at this point? He doesn't have the same energy he used to for remotes, which were usually high-effort, high energy bits.
