Here's some highlights:
Milwaukee County Zoo is excellent and huge, way bigger than you probably expect.
Milwaukee has the Mitchell Park Domes, an excellent indoor botanical garden
The Milwaukee Museum, art museum, and Harley-Davidson museums are also in Milwaukee and excellent visits.
Door County has wineries, nice parks, and a drive-in movie theatre.
State parks generally are good visits.
Devil's Lake is a highlight for swimming and camping.
Kopp's Frozen Custard is worth visiting.
Good cheese, beer, and brats can be found throughout.
Prominent breweries like Point and New Glarus offer tours.
In the winter there are ski hills (that obviously don't live up to the places out west or even the northern Appalachians)
The Apostle Islands are a sight to behold in the winter when the ice caves form, and canoeing through them in summer is neat too.
Lots of lakes everywhere with public access for swimming and fishing.
If into good architecture, there's a bunch of Frank Lloyd Wright homes
If you're into questionable architecture, there's the House on the Rock.
Wisconsin Dells is a main tourist hub eith several prominent water parks.
Noah's Ark is the largest, followed by Mt. Olympus (which features numerous brain-rattling/concussion-inducing wooden roller coasters).
Indoor parks/hybrid indoor outdoor parks include Wilderness, Great Wold, and Kalahari.
It also has rides on amphibious Duck vehicles.
