dedicated cameras beat smartphones if:
> you actually know what you are doing with all the buttons
> you want to take pictures of certain subjects (night sky, timid wildlife, etc)
> you want to print stuff to put on the wall
> you want drone shots

mirrorless systems are not too bulky these days, DSLRs are a pain in the arse because of how physically large the bodies and lenses are
most people just slop out low effort crap for social media or streaming and phones are fine for that desu

i've used the osmo underwater a few times, stabilisation is a nice feature but the quality just isn't there
