This is the most important one. The main demos that do the most meaningless shopping in the US are wealthy women and gay men. This deep into recession and joblessness, not many people can or want to go shopping and spend money on name brand goods. Stores understand that and instead cater to the people who are still shopping. Same for entertainment, they are catering to the only groups that have the spare money to buy movie tickets. Everyone else pirates or waits to catch it on streaming.

The only people who really keep going to stores and patroning the big name brand companies are upper middle class to upper class. And women do overwhelming majority of the shopping so advertising caters to them.

Also Gay couples being two income, zero children households historically had huge buying power, well above families. So advertising caters to them as a major shopping demographic.

So it's not a huge vast Jew conspiracy to see that companies are specifically pointing their advertising toward the only groups that still shop at name brand stores. Why should they waste money on demographics that never shop them or even shop in retail outlets at all? Fuck em. The white males can stick to online or Walmart. Macys, Starbucks, every restaurant, those are going to go after the people who still patron them and have money to spend.

Want the advertising to like you again? But more shit. Buy more shit than the upper class San Francisco two 6 figure income gay couples and make your demo worth paying attention to again. Go to the theater again, more than once a year.
