I'm not sure for shadowrun (although the video games were fun) or 2020 but RED is basically

There are also opposed rolls where the two roll opposed skills, like melee weapon vs evasion and conceal vs reveal. But I really dislike that because with crit succs and crit fail's happening 20% of the time it ends up making the roll ridiculous about 34% of the time because either one or both parties will roll a crit/fail that makes the bonuses worthless.

I think that resolution-wise 2020 seems to be similar, although their numbers seemed smaller in the content I've stolen from 2020 books.
