It's a mental condition, so you don't really "cure" it so much as dealing with the symptoms.
It's possible to "cure" ADHD, but as far as I know the only way is to rewire your brain properly via taking Adderall as a kid, since the brain's neuplasticity is high, you can potentially cure ADHD, but I don't think it works when you're an adult.

But it's considered a Mild mental illness.
Other mental illness have much more severe consequences, so ADHD is seen as a "meme" because it's not as bad as other mental illnesses.

Meh, assigning blame is not a great way to go about it, but let me put it this way :
If you know you have a problem but don't do shit to fix it, then you are to blame.
So yeah, you can claim ignorance and "not my fault", but only up to a certain point.
If you don't get help / officially diagnosed, then yes it becomes your responsibility.
So go se a shrink.
Trust me, it will help greatly, and you'll wonder "Wh!y didn't I do this sooner?"

Self-diagnosis is not a valid. You need to go see a professional.
