I can't imagine being a trucker. I've been on long drives before and once I hit the 4 hour mark my brain turns to mush; begin to run the risk of falling asleep at the wheel. I hate driving any more than I absolutely need to. But hey since you are so high off the road you don't have to be blinded by dickheads with super bright white headlights. Yeah you described a lot of the benefits I get from night shift. They give me differential pay too so I'm literally being paid more to do less work with less supervision. Sometimes I'm jealous of daywalkers but at the end of the day I'm maximizing my wage slave potential.

Same. Flip flopping is terrible for your body anyway. I go to sleep just fine because my bed is turbo-comfy but I have a bad habit of staying up late. I end up getting 6 hours of sleep when I could have easily had 8+ if I had just gotten off the fucking computer and put the vidya games down.

My hospital's IT dudes block 4chan but they ironically don't block Reddit so that's usually what I'm scrolling at work. I read a lot of manga and comic books too. They don't block desuarchive though so I can still check the boards if I want.
