"Yeah. The system can sanitise itself to prevent contamination. But I won't be able to leave before the suppression is annulled."

>"That would be the retreat phase. But..."
>Sky Squall collects his thoughts as he tries to come up with an appropriate wording.

"A second cycle, huh? Okay, what exactly do you have in mind?"
>Sky Squall starts to gesticulate with his forehooves as he goes on.
>"We inject the nano-machines into your body and tell them to undo the damage of time and age. We don't do anything fancy or change you in any way. We merely restore the original in its true form. The machines set you back into an ideal state. Like the augmentations do for us and the princesses. We... reset your clock while you're asleep. Enter and deployment."

>"And when that's done, we just remove the machines again before we wake you up. You'll be yourself. Free of any machines, but younger."

>"That can't be impossible. And if it works, I don't see why we can't repeat the procedure whenever it is necessary. Continuous rejuvenation. Problem solved. Indefinitely even."

>"It wouldn't be the same 'near-immortality' that we possess. You'd still be 'mortal' because you'll age as usual."
>He inhales.
>"But it will keep you around, at least. By circumventing the problem."
>You smile as well.
"I'd like that. That's good enough for a start."
