I was never a fan of Guren Seiten. It has that weird hunchback. The ears look weird too. And the angel wings don't match its Japanese Oni Theme Design.

I think this was because Albion was designed first. It was an early 9th Generation KMF designed for Suzaku. It was a well balanced machine. Then Lloyd and Cecile took what they learned making Albion, improved upon it a bit, and put it Guren.

Also the Guren was meant to be a "fun suit" where they played around with the design, threw In a ton extra weapons just for fun (like the rocket arm and energy discs) and didn't care if the machine was well balanced, and pushed the performance as high as they could. Lloyd never expected anyone to actually be able to pilot the thing. It was meant to be a display piece. Then Kallen unexpectedly somehow mastered using it.

Albion was the practical early 9th Gen suit.

Guren was the "lol let's throw everything at the wall and see what sticks" 9th gen suit. Like a character you make in a video game with wacky stats just for fun never expecting to actually use it. Then you end up using it later by chance and it turns out to be really really good.

Lancelot Sin was said to be a suit designed to be bleeding edge in combat. A premium suit designed to be the best possible.

Gurren Type Special is a refined and upgraded Gurren Seiten. It was said that it had 10% higher performance than Guren Seiten because they designers stopped worrying about energy consumption. They assumed that Guren Special would be well supplied. Whereas before, Previous Guren suits were thought to operate in Resistance cells where supplies were inconsistent. So designers had to make sure Guren didn't consume too much power.

If Lancelot Sin and Guren Special fought, it would be close. But I personally think Sin is a bit better. It uses Blaze Luminous tech
