It depends on how big they are compared to humans, their armaments, numbers, and tactics.

Judging by the OP's pic, we're talking 13-17 meter tall humanoids. Big enough to step on a person with ease. I'll assume they're carrying clubs and are lightly armored, with just enough to protect their groins and forearms (why?). We see six giants total in this image so I'll run with that for a standard formation. It appears they're being used to break massed infantry, which makes sense. Straightforward and simple; see infantry together, go smash them and make them scatter.

Based on their size and how they'd presumably fight, you've only got a few options:

>Archer Cavalry in loose formation
They'd have a maneuverability advantage and could harass long enough to keep giants distracted, provided the arrows can pierce a giant's skin. Poison coated arrows could help but only so much.

>Catapults that fire "shot"
What is says on the tin. Set to fire lots of smaller balls/rocks. Same for ballista or any crew served missile launchers.

>Traps and obstacles
Caltrops. Hidden pits. Trenches. Spikes.

>Greek Fire
This is probably what the giant's would fear most. No one likes being set on fire, especially if you can't put it out. Downside is you'd need a lot of the stuff and once lit, the giants could just run amok and end up burning down half your city instead of smashing it.

>Black Powder
Obviously, early canons were ass but would be viable for killing giants. Also, bombs.

>Walls and Fortifications
Build em' big and thick, with enough space for heavy weapons to be moved around. Multiple layers is even better.

Key takeaway is that if you're in a fortified position (castle or walled city) and have enough time and resources to prepare, you can beat giants. Anything else and you're fucked. No human army could fight them on the open field. Your only saving grace is it's half a dozen of them and not 100+ in an organized formation.
