Yes it did. They weren't just used on D-Day and even those on D-Day worked on all beaches except Omaha. 90% of casualties on D-Day were on Omaha due to bad luck and American's being arrogant ignorant fucktards (refusing to use shit like the Churchill AVRE and Crocodile which the British, Canadians and French + Poles said saved thousands of lives) and then miused the only Funnies by releasing them too early in poor weather conditions so they all sunk. On other beaches, the tanks reached the beach and did their shit. Omaha was just bad luck in also that they got pushed off course to a better defended section of the beach that had just been reinforced by veteran troops, rather than conscripts and had not been softened up with naval bombardment before hand (while of limited actual use in direct damage, it provided shelter for advancing forces on other beaches).

In the Pacific they were used just fine, granted they were used on small islands that the navy had surrounded and had naval and air superiority over so them being immediately contested by Japanese forces didn't happen very often (and if it did, they just got shelled to hell and back, which is why the Battle of Okinawa is so unique - the Japanese commander ordered to hold fire until the Americans were massed on the beach to create mass casualties and bottlenecks by destroying vehicles and landing craft - it was a key part on why it was so deadly for America).
