but i think ethan is okay, he's good at his job, which is storyboarding that's all about simplifying stuff and these "art hacks" which is really just shorthands basically that people use in the industry so that's what he teaches

now the issue is he always claims he works in "animation" which yes technically is true but a lot of people think he animates shit but i've only ever seen him show 1 single cut from that dota show, which was a 3d tracking shot with some basic character layout

anyway his skills are fine for what he does, but i don't really understand how he got to where he is because apparently he grew up poor in the ghetto
so how he got a job at all is baffling, maybe he had some connections or something

and also yes the only reason he was popular on youtube which he quit at this point anyway to do his art school thing (i don't know why, i don't know if he even still does that too or he went back to working for studios again i have no idea what he actually does nowadays), anyway the only reason he was popular there was because of his looks and persona
he's a good looking guy, kinda babyfaced but i guess that's still appealing to people
and the persona he adopted of this loud obnoxious youtube man has always been the secret to success on that platform (see pewdiepie)
+i think he showed he had a girlfriend in like the first video he ever made so there's more appeal
it's all about projection on social media

>good happy attitude
>good personal life (gf)
>good friends (other big artists like sinix/proko etc.)

it's all about presentation, if you appear to have it all and then some the people will follow
