I'm happy for you. When I was on social media it really crippled my ability to think creatively and to improve since I needed to post a piece once a week in order to engage with my followers and get more likes. I stopped studying and doing basic perspective and anatomy drills because I felt it was too much of a time waste when I should be working on that next piece that needs to get posted. People don't typically equate having a social media presence as a having another job, but it really can feel like it. If you have all the time in the world in your late teens and just draw FOTM content that you enjoy - that's fine and you'll be rewarded. But if your passions lie elsewhere (storytelling, landscapes, surreal art, etc.) than it'll be much harder to become "popular" on top of keeping up a job/school and other responsibilities at the same time. It's why I ended up deleting my profiles and am drawing what I enjoy and growing at my own pace. I have my own niche I do think people will enjoy so I'll probably come back to a smaller platform, but it's not an immediate concern as I have much larger responsibilities that are more important right now.
