It's actually not that simple. None of the artists that have received hate here do so because of their art, it has more to do with the their attitude towards replies. Take BBCChan, Jiragora, Subu and Tableguy as examples, their art is exceptional, or at least ahead of the /ic/ average, and still they receive hatred for their own unique reasons. Why? Because they all share one thing in common: They reply to confrontation and so they made a name of themselves for it.
Then you have Moai anon and the one anon you mention to name a few, they are also really great at their craft, but don't get hated at all... Reason? They don't humor confrontation and just stick to the craft and those who do so, therefore they never garnished a hate base.

If you hate someone, your brain will automatically find an excuse to make the hate "reasonable", and more often than not the closest excuse available is in someone's art. If the femzero guy had the habit of being confrontational, you'd pick his art apart too, calling out things like, say... the fact he barely ever finished anything these days for example.

TLDR: It's not the art what makes people hate the artist, it's the artist what makes people hate the artist. Human psychology is funny.
