The suicide rate, depression rate, autism rate and virtually every subjective measure for happiness, contentment, life satisfaction and hopefulness are going down. Eleven year olds are necking themselves in this nightmare culture. Life is better only in the most superficial way, the fact that people smoked tobacco in the past does nothing to change the fact that the modern world has been proven (over and over and over by numerous studies) make people mentally ill, and the internet is a huge part of the equation.
