This was not a stable empire considering it collapsed in a few years after being attacked by the mongols. Muhammad II was locked into a conflict with his mother for political power. Not to mention their were tensions with the Abbasids who also just managed to become an independent power by controlling Iraq and some portions of Iran. After the mongol threat faded they spent their time being crushed by the Portuguese. In their final decades they lost their entire empire after losing two battles against the ottomans. Their only accomplishments were to conquer the remaining crusader outposts and considering they had the overwhelming advantage this it's hard to rate them highly
