The East German security services (both internal and foreign) were literally full of ex-Nazis, actively supported the activities of Neo-Nazi groups operating in the West, had a literal successor pet Nazi Party with over 100,000 members, and the regime itself was unrepentantly anti-semitic like the rest of the Warsaw Pact.

That's not a tiger stripe derivative (tiger stripe doesn't trace its lineage back to Nazi-era patterns anyway, ERDL does though), it's based on a Czech pattern that had its colors partially based on Sumpftarn. The modern Bundeswehr pattern Flecktarn is a near 1:1 derivative of Waffen-SS Erbsenmuster.
