Most Armenians in Russia are either settled diaspora who left for better prospects, or expats just looking to work, they're not soldiers. Sure, you'd probably find some but it's not viable, especially given the amount of air support they'd need against the Azeris. Your other point is spot on though, confronting Azerbaijan leads to Turkey getting more involved which can lead to a NATO escalation. A lot of Central Asia has clear Pan-Turkic sentiments but most aren't as batshit as the Azeris or Anatolian Turks when it comes to creating geopolitical incidents, so they'd be some soft power moves from them. Frankly, with Israel (one of Azerbaijan's key supporters due to Iran) being busy, and the Israelis and Turks in one of their spats, it'd be a decent time for Armenia were it not for Russia being preoccupied.
