Because barely anyone knows what e-hentai is. Most people get resized slop from leech sites like n-hentai and don't take any further interest into where their content comes from or the community that dedicates portions of their lives to the scene, buying/scanning/translating/editing.
The reason barely anyone knows what e-hentai is, is because it was persecuted and driven into laying low from early days, both by moral police and copyright police, so Tenboro developed it for resilience (with things like the fjord system, and more recently, an onion version) rather than exposure and marketing.
If e-hentai itself were as well known as its leech sites and had the brand recognition of something like Fakku, it would be a paradise for both artists and fans. The bounty system and credits system could easily be repurposed to accommodate donations/fees for artists.

I have discovered and supported artists thanks to E-H and I will continue to do so.
