huh? the time it takes to heat any part depends on its thermal mass. nothing to do with 'ground', nothing to do with 'dwell' time. as soon as it wets you can remove heat. no need to 'dwell'

unironically skill issue. you can legitimately complain if you were hand soldering bgas 20 years ago and dealing with whiskers. otherwise stfu.
although i do think that removal of some 'hazardous' materials from supply chain was short sighted; specifically the EU banning fluorescent tubes (99% glass 1% metal simple to recycle) in favour of led alternative (99% plastic to be shipped to india to be melted into fumes) just because tubes had a microgram of easily recoverable mercury amalgam in them. we already had systems in place (and still do) to recycle these tubes. leds are not more efficient than fluros.
