It's been a masterclass in advertising. Take a well known concept from science fiction like AI (being equal to or beyond human thought) then phrase it over existing technology. Does your calculator have image recognition? It must be AI. Can a search engine recommend you new content? It's AI. It's a sales gimmick that uses public assumption to it's advantage.
