The reality is that very few people have a genuine interest in tech. They use computers because they were forced to, they use their phones because they have been psychologically addicted by decades of some of the smartest people on the planet making them maximally addictive. Sure normies like games and toys and whatever, but they're not interested in the TECH part of it. They just want a toy that has flashing lights and answers to "Hey Siri tell me a joke".
When there is a lack of understanding or genuine interest in something as ubiquitous as tech, people become victims of it. They complain about it but don't actually WANT to change to something else, because learning things is hard and they already learned the one thing once 15 years ago. There is no genuine interest, only a casual fancy.
I firmly believe that humanity and society will one day restrict access to internet-connected computers the same way we restrict dangerous chemicals from people. It is too dangerous for anybody but those truly interested in working with them to be allowed access.
