The only ones that matter are EXT4 and btrfs. XFS is outdated, bachefs is a new fs that is very promising but not stable yet, and OpenZFS requires specify Linux modules and modifications since ZFS's license is incompatible with GPL. Just go with EXT4.

Just choose between LXQT or XFCE. Lightweight unlike Gnome or KDE and well supported.

In terms of distro, since (YOU) are a noob, don't overcomplicate shit by getting the harder distros that require more technical knowledge. Avoid Arch (+ derivatives with the exception of Manjaro), Void, Gentoo, Nix, and Slackware. Just go with a Ubuntu derivative (not Ubuntu itself because of snaps that they force you to use instead of native applications/packages). Get Linux Mint or Pop!_OS. If you want to play vidya, try out Drauger or Nobara.
