They aren’t actually into it. It’s all forcibly presented as if it’s a personality trait. The thots do it to keep simp dough rolling in. If the current thing was insect collecting these hoes would be cosplaying as preying mantids with their tits out. The other people are only into it to be part of the majority, to fit in. It’s all for attention. Anyone worth listening to will agree that this is very obnoxious to witness in any subject, people forcibly discussing and just having to show off that they’re part of some kind of imaginary club of majority. And the problem isn’t that it’s as simple as ignoring it, it’s well beyond “nooo my le hekcin exclusive secret thing!” see below

It causes the quality to go to shit. These people don’t know what good quality is. They’ll lap up dogshit on a paper plate. New content is made, older stuff altered, to appease to the new fans. It all becomes woke nonsense. Lazily written bullshit using cliches as a means to present some wokified character so the new fans can feel good. No story, no progression, no world building, no growth, no lessons, no nothing.
And what happens when these newer fans (normies) inevitably abandon this for the next thing? The genuine fans are left with the same level of quality. This is why it’s a problem.

Even other interests have this shit happen. Outdoors shit like hiking, hunting, fishing, camping etc. these losers wanna get into it not out of any real interest but for a desire to feel cool but they’re the ones blasting shitty music on a Bluetooth speaker scaring everything off, littering, screaming nonstop and then going home to post their pics and claim to care about the planet.
It’s all a kin to fat bitch going to the gym to plod on the treadmill at 2.5mph for 5 minutes, taking a few mirror selfies and then posting it on her Instagram. I hope this clarifies
