i was in your spot 3 years ago and i had no idea how to start until i just said fuck it and started working out, sure maybe i missed out on the 'newbie gains' meme because i wasnt doing it optimally but the truth is most beginners cant keep to an optimal routine either way. just start doing whatever and figure it out as you go along, youre not gonna get injured if you wont pick up stupidly heavy weights too early
