Personal fitness is unironically more important than competitive sports and the arts. Kids who suck at sports need personal fitness and muscle building exercises to become moderately decent at it. Something parents and couches neglect for innate talent.
And the benefits of personal fitness, which builds muscle, stays with you far longer than any artistic work and I say this as a classically trained musician who went hard through out school with it but didn't go pro.
