I have a 4 year old HP laptop that has a broken screen
I'm currently using it with a external monitor because the integrated monitor is broken. Also the laptop hinge dust cover has fallen off. After I get a new laptop I'm probably going to use it as a home server for some time.

But at some point I'm thinking of selling it.
Now it doesn't have a working screen but I thought of selling it as it as a home server or something.

I got an idea though. The screen is just attached by two smalm metal rods that have hinges at the end.
So what if I cut the rods off with a saw and then cut the wires going to the screen and I trim the left overs and then I just fill up the holes with something like silicone or epoxy.
And then just market the laptop as a custom and modern MiniPC with an integrated keyboard lmao (judt don't tell it was a laptop ever lol)

Or would it just make sense to salvage the parts and attempt to sell them indivitually?
Does this make sense bros? Based or cringe?
