Jesus. My Safeway sells the ground-in-store stuff for $2.49/lb even now but we're probably not shopping there much all through April. We usually get a discount on milk (as in it's been years since we've paid full price on milk) but we didn't get a discount for this month. It's the main thing we buy there and other stuff is just the incidentals that we happen to pick up while we're there so without the milk discount, we don't have much reason to ever set foot in Safeway or Acme (same company; we have both here).
Actually, we've got 600 bonus points to use up that expire on the 30th so we'll probably get things just to use the points up. We get cheap fuel already.
