Impressive/I now know the people who took that picture & wrote the 'top 10 best fries' buzzfied tier article that accompanied it are from Chicagoland. That being said, yeah I'll have to agree, portillos probably does make the best fries from the choices of the OP. If you live near a portillos, make sure you get the cheese fries with your order. But unfortunately, like all French fries/potato dishes in this gay world, fries suffer from a fatal flaw; they taste like dogshit after they cool to a certain point, and are completely unrecoverable. And don't even try start typing up a character limit post about how your hipster air fryer can totally resurrect cold fries. The consistency is off forever, they'll always be grainy/sand-like and disgusting, idgaf what you air fryercels have to say.

PS: even though I just typed that shit up, in gebrsl I think I'd prefer those 'seasoned' style fries, aka the checker rally or Popeyes brown fries with that breading caked on. I don't have any data to back this up, but I'm of the personal belief that they have more longevity than other types of fries. Plus due to that seasoning/breading, they taste better than regular fries by default, which only have salt.
