I think you have to make peace with the fact that a lot of lolitas just look like shit, western or japanese or otherwise. outside of curated/promo photos a lot of lolitas are extremely frumpy-looking.

Measurement is king, if you're fat (asian standards) and small you still have a pretty good chance of fitting in burando without looking like a stuffed sausage. If it's coorded properly and it doesn't look like she forced herself in it then it's fine. Would it look better on someone skinnier/average-sized? Most likely yes, but if it looks decent on the fattychan then most people won't really give a shit or call it ita unless if they really had something against that person.
