Without quotas, we might be about to witness mass female unemployment, which could lead to a return of the arrangement that happened prior to first wave feminism: a smaller workforce, with women mostly absent from many professions, becoming stay at home wives instead.

Perhaps a Victorian arrangement, with affluent women going to college for personal growth and passion projects, instead of looking for employability and marketeable skills
