Little genetic DNA left other then a few beaten and weathered hides and a single specimen found in an archive which is contaminated by humans DNA because some retard didn't use gloves to touch it. Overall genetic reconstruction still underway because they don't have enough samples. Also it's nearest relative is the Tasmanian devil which is so much smaller that there's gonna be birthing complications if impregnated with Thylacine genes.

Even worse off than the Thylacine due how they were killed so much faster and again thrown away because the colonists were retards who didn't belive in extinction. Basically 0 DNA available. Closest relative is also dead leaving the Nicobar pigeon as it's final relative which diverted 40 million years ago compared to the Thylacine and devils 25k years and Mammoths from Asian elephants 6 million years.

Has been worked on for like 40 year at this point, multiple hides, skeletons, mummy's and DNA avaliable because of their snowy habitat and bogs. The Asian elephant their closest living relative can actually carry the Mammoth to full term.

Basically the Thylacine is a work in progress and the Dodo is pretty hopeless.
