The cerutti mastodon kill site in California is a good example. Its dated to an astounding 130,700 years old. Counter papers have been, rather weak, as to what it was other than human activity in N. America. This is before there was even a landbridge between Asia and N. America or even H. sapiens left Africa. Also, most kill sites are of either a proboscidean, or rhinoceros. Other than that, most common human hunting seems to have just been rabbits or deer and some other ungulates. Remnant blood from arrowheads and other points corroborates this.
It would make more sense that, if this was caused by humans, it would match their travel across the globe. But sites like Cerutti make this harder to be true. Humans were likely across Africa to both Americas by (conservatively) 50,000 years ago and likely elsewhere. Meanwhile the megafauna collapse in the pleistocene was simultaneous globally by about 11,000 years ago and even human cultures start disappearing at the same time too. Including the clovis culture, as all succeeding points are completely different to theirs.
