I get it, brother. Good thing is that both Seneca and Epictetus write in very short 2-5 mins chapters.
Long books (and amazing) but very very short chapters if you can call them that.
I wouldn't recommend them if I wasn't utterly fucked and they didn't truly help. I'm certain they will help you.

I hear you, man. You can't just go full hog on it. I couldn't. Let me give you an example for draining people I wouldn't just cut them out or go no contact because honestly I didn't have the nerve for it at the time.
What I did do was distance myself slowly. Same with things I didn't like doing. I just started doing less and less of.

I can relate to this so much it's funny. It's because you were made to feel guilty in childhood by some overbearing parent most likely who was NEVER satisfied with you.
So you internalized that voice as your own, but it ain't your voice man.

Oh another piece of advice I'll give openly and that really worked for me is going outside. Walks in the park (yeah man I know how it sounds) have helped me a lot. Just breathe, look at some nature and just walk..
