No it doesn't, because if you are gonna work in Software Engineering anyway, a CS degree will be very useful, and will also help you remain competitive in foreign job markets. Also, have you ever actually tried learning to code? I wet to two specialised preparatory schools for this, and also did self study, but I was lazy and unmotivated so I had to drop out from my CS course, and now my future plans do not involve tech at all. If you are very highly motivated and highly intelligent, you may be able to both do (successful) self-study, and your degree at the same time, while also finding enough time to relax and recharge. But if you are lazy and unmotivated, you'll probably fail at both. Programming is no joke, and despite what you hear, neither are humanities degree.

Maybe that works? I dunno, we don't have that in my country. But is this what you want? And why prefer this over other options? If you are gonna do 2 years of CS study, why not 6?
