Race should be accounted for, but by conveniently leaving out browns you ignore the fact that higher IQ examples of those races are actually more conservative than the lower IQ ones. Liberals IQ advantage is entirely due to liberal whites (and some asians) having higher IQs than conservative whites/asians.
Think of it like this:
(60% of pop) White Liberal - White Conservative +10
(7% of pop) Asian Liberal - Asian Conservative +10
(33% of pop) Brown Liberal - Brown Conservative -5
Adds up to about Liberal +5 or so
